 ROUTING DISPATCH BILLING FLEET

How are roll-offs done?

Rolloff scheduling and billing is done using the Dispatching feature in WAM. Since Dispatch is usually a very hectic area with interruptions occurring constantly, the system has been designed to make scheduling rolloff accounts fast and easy. When a customer calls in, Dispatch enters in their Acct# (or the first few characters of their name if their Acct# is not known). The system looks up the account and fills in the rest of the information on the screen (the person who called, the type of service to be performed, the company name, etc.). So all the dispatcher must do is enter in the Acct#, verify the information shown, and hit a button to add the service to the dispatch schedule. The system will ask if a ticket is to be immediately printed (you can print tickets as pulls are scheduled or you can print all tickets at the end of the day). At the end of the day, a list of all accounts to be serviced (permanent and on-call) can be run to get a schedule of all services that were or are to be performed. Rolloffs are billed using this same information that the dispatcher has entered in. At the end of each day, AR gets some type of documents (dump tickets) from Dispatch as to what services have been done. They enter in information from the ticket (the tonnage, what dump site was used, the dump ticket#, the driver). The system determines the rate the customer pays dependent upon information in his account and the service provided (and the tonnage entered if your method of charging them is dependent upon any tonnage value). After all information is entered, charges are posted to each customer's account. This history information is kept in WAM, so you are always able to get a variety of valuable reports showing how much tonnage per dump site, different types of services provided, comparison reports to the bills you get from landfills, etc.

Can dispatch see balance information for an account?

Depending on the security level of the user, Routing passwords can allow full or partial access to all Accounts Receivable information.

Will WAM help me audit my landfill bills?

Yes, by entering in the loads that you take to the landfill, you can get a report that compares your records with the bill from the landfill. This way, you will not be charged for any loads that may have been billed to you by mistake.
