  ROUTING

 ROUTING DISPATCH BILLING FLEET

What type of routing information is given to the drivers?

A route sheet can be printed for any given date. It will only include accounts that are to be picked up on that date. Special Pickup and Stop Service information can also print on the Route Sheet, on a separate report, or in work order format.

Route Sheets, as with any of the reports in the system, can be printed in any format. The standard Route Sheet format comes with:

  • ROUTE#
  • STOP#
  • SERVICE NAME
  • SERVICE ADDRESS
  • TYPE OF SERVICE
  • DRIVER MESSAGE
At the end of each route, a list of how many stops and a breakdown of types of service (ex. '10 3y', '40 4y') is shown, along with yardage totals for each route.

Driver Sheets are run for a given date (ex. Wednesday 10/22/07). This allows exclusion of accounts that have Stop Service dates within the period and of new accounts that service has not yet started.

Can special messages be put on the Route Sheet?

Special driver messages of up to twenty lines can be kept in an account and will print on the Route Sheet.

How are missed pickups rerouted?

A 'One-Time' pickup transaction can be entered for an account. At the end of the day, these can all be printed as Special Work Orders or they can be printed on a report in route order.

How many different types of service are available?

Up to 9,999 different service types can be entered. The description for the type of service, such as “3Y ONCE A WEEK” is totally under your control and can be changed at any time. At installation time, we get the types of services you provide and use this information to initially set up your system.
